Enhancing Research and Innovation
Launched on 24 July 2020, with funding from Horizon 2020, EUTOPIA TRAIN is a research initiative coordinated by the University of Gothenburg (2021-2023) that aims to create a challenge-driven knowledge community across European universities. EUTOPIA’s vision extends beyond a traditional network; it focuses on academia’s societal contributions.
The initiative addresses two main challenges: integrating pan-EUTOPIA research and innovation (R&I) communities and engaging with society, businesses, students, and policymakers.
Key objectives include developing a joint Research Strategy, sharing resources and tools, and establishing a shared R&I policy to enhance the capacity of the original six, now ten, universities in the Alliance.
EUTOPIA TRAIN fosters academic innovation with societal impact, aiming to connect research communities with the needs of local and international stakeholders. It prioritises creating a cohesive academic environment that links research, education, and innovation while promoting collaboration with public and private sectors.
